THD/THT Assembly

THT stands for Through-Hole Technology. This technology involves inserting the pins of electronic components through the PCB board and soldering them to the other side of the PCB.

The advantages of THT:
Better mechanical strength, the pins of THT components pass through the PCB board and are soldered on the other side of the board, providing better mechanical support and connection strength.
Better heat resistance, since the solder joints are located on both sides of the PCB board, THT components typically have better heat resistance.
Easier maintenance, the pins of THT components are easy to observe and test, facilitating maintenance and replacement.

SMT Assembly

SMT stands for Surface Mount Technology. This technology involves directly mounting electronic components onto the surface of the PCB and connecting them to the PCB through surface soldering.

The advantages of SMT:
Higher component density, SMT allows more components to be placed on the surface of the PCB, achieving higher component density.
Better electrical performance, the short pins and direct connection of SMT components can reduce the resistance and inductance of signal transmission, thereby improving circuit performance.
Better high-frequency characteristics, SMT technology is suitable for high-frequency circuit design because it can reduce the inductance and capacitance effects of the circuit, improving the high-frequency characteristics of the circuit.

SMT + THD Mixed Assembly

The advantages of SMT + THT mixed:
Combined advantages, integrating the strengths of SMT and THT, allow for achieving high-density component layouts while obtaining excellent mechanical strength and thermal performance.
